Why is it worse to wear a "Satan is love" shirt than people wearing "Jesus is love" shirts?
Isn't it just a difference in beliefs?
People can get really funny about Satan shirts.
The bad reaction can happen with a few shirts e.g. "Team Satan" (with 666 back number); "Pick me please Satan" and even just "Satan" with an image of a horned beast.
Christians have forgot that Satan is the only one in the garden that didn't lie.
Now they are judging people and telling them not to judge others. Just plain silly.

I think it is because of the message that is being sent across. It is like saying that "Apples are violet" as compared to "Grapes are violet" when everyone knows the obvious. It just creates confusion as to which is which.

You're right, it's just a different taste and matter of opinion.
But in all honesty, it is in somewhat bad taste. It is definitely mocking and offensive to many people. So if someone doesn't mind pissing people off, then there's no reason in the world why they shouldn't wear it.

Most people get all freaked out about Satan because he's supposed to be evil, if you believe in it. Thanks to all the Bible-thumpers, no one has a sense of humor anymore.
I used to be religious, till I just got fed up with all the intolerance the church really teaches. I became much happier once I told religion to stuff it. And now I can laugh about that kind of stuff.
As long as you're ok with it, and are comfy with yourself and your beliefs, wear it. If poeple don't like it, they don't have read it. If they're offended, too bad. If you can show it's a humorous thing, even better.

Christians will find any reason to get indignant about something. They're usually the first to judge, the last to accept and the last to love.
Notice how the more extreme groups of Christians are always demanding everyone else in the country adopts their lifestyle and find petty reasons to boycott companies. I have two prime examples for you:
There is a current boycott of Pepsi products because a Pepsi can that was produced with the Pledge of Allegiance printed on it omitted the words "under God".
Christian extremists boycott Disney because they don't discourage openly-gay people from gathering at their theme parks.
Acceptance? Riiight.
Loving thy neighbor? In your dreams.
A T-shirt with a cute joke about Satan is a quick way to spur contempt and hate from the loving, peace full, caring, bright-eyed and straight-laced Christians, that have a small beef with people whom wish to express themselves freely.
So to answer your question, the reason a Satan shirt is worse than a jesus shirt is because the Jesus freaks are unenlightened and narrow-minded.

What would Jesus do? Nah, I won't say that.
Look here, the first thing that came to mind was, "God is Love" The bible actually says that. So, even though it may be funny, I wouldn't wear it because another commandment is, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. That's a hard one because, I never know what kind of mood he's in. People ask sometimes, " where was God at when I hung my penis up in my zipper, at Prom Night?" His answer might be, " I let the Devil do it" HA/HA/HA Funny for God, not for you.

Because Satan is a metaphor for all that is evil, whereas Jesus is a metaphor for all that is good. If you are loving, you will do what is good for others, not what is evil.
