What present can i get my best friend for her new baby boy. I thought a nice "baby Dior" dummy or bottle??
Iv looked on ebay and they have Christian Dior baby clothes and accessories for babies. Does anyone know of any ohter big names like this that do baby clothes, dummies/soothers ect. Also if anyone has any idea what else i could get as a prezzie, i want something unusual, that shes not expecting and that no one else has thought of. Shes having a baby boy by the way. Thank lyou in advance x
Honestly, a high end designer bottle or dummy is a big waste of money!! Not sure if big designers even make them!!
The baby will not even know the difference.
Most designers are making higher end baby clothes, but again, a waste of money unless you have a lot of it to blow.
Spend time w/ your friend, offer to babysit, or watch the baby while she takes a nap or shower. Bring over pre-cooked meals that she just has to pop into the oven. Buy a nice outfit for mom, or a spa day. Things like this I really appreciated.

many high end designers do baby clothes. If you want to buy something high end go to a high end baby store.

I bought my sister a gorgeous sterling silver rattle from Tiffany & Co. for her baby shower. She was doing her nursery in the Pottery Barn Kids Moons and Stars bedding, and I saw this adorable Man in the Moon rattle that I just had to get for her.
She definitely wasn't expecting it, and my niece will have it forever as a keepsake.

You know what she could really use and enjoy? Pay for a cleaning service or for nutritious foods to be delivered for a month after the baby is born. Much more useful!

Cloths are always good and most people get that sort of thing, But what was most useful to me was nappies, Formula (if using it) and anything that cut cost's down for me,

I'm with Ethel- catered meals would be fantastic and appreciated far more than a dummie or a bottle.

Well, let me tell you what I found the most useful (thats a word we mums use when we have babies, if its not useful its useless..lol)
I bought a pack of flannelette nappies & a pack of towelling ones. 12 years later they are still being used for lots of things.
The flannelette ones where used as sheets, towels, wipe ups, throw ups, cuddle ups etc etc for the first 4 months. They where great!
Same for the towelling nappies - never used for nappies but had 101 uses and where always in demand.
The other thing I used all the time where bunny rugs - baby wraps I think they call them now. They wrapped baby up, where used to put over the pram when baby was sleeping, all sorts of things. They also got used as sheets when necessary.
Babies can be such smelly, messy, dirty little bundles sometimes!
I know that these are probably not the things you had in mind but they are practical & useful & what new mums want more than anything. Every time she uses one she will think of you.

your friend might love the portrait of her baby, which she can preserve for years.
